We had a terrible experience when we tried to use this place for my son's first haircut. We arrived five minutes before our appointment time and were given a short client info sheet to fill out. We filled out the paper, gave it back, and stood there waiting. One stylist was blowdrying a little girl's hair. Then, she finished. Then, she stood there talking to the little girl's family for a while. Then, she left. Another family came in after us for a first haircut. Their stylist appeared immediately, greeted them in a friendly way, and started cutting the little boy's hair. We stood there confused because we had the same appointment time as them and there were no stylists in sight and no one was telling us anything. At this point it was five minutes past our appointment time. I approached the girl at the desk and asked what was happening with our appointment. She told me the name of the stylist and said he was finishing up someone else. This was when we realized that the salon shares stylists with the adult salon next door. The girl then called next door and turned her body so that I could not hear her conversation. She got off the phone and said our person was finishing up someone else's hair. She looked at her computer and said it was only two minutes past our time. I looked at my iPhone and noticed that it was seven minutes past our time. I asked if I could speak to a manager (because I wanted her to know that the girl at the desk needed some customer service training) and she said the stylist who left was the manager and she was with a client. I asked if I could have the owner's information and she said no. We waited three more minutes and then left. As we were leaving, we saw the manager standing around the salon next door having a casual conversation. I called back later and left my info for the manager. She had her receptionist call me back because she was booked with back to back clients. She offered me the manager's apologies and a free cut for my son, but you could not pay me to go back there. They had no problem with the fact that their stylist was running behind and people were waiting. It would not have been such a big deal, but no one communicated with us until we asked. I think a salon for kids needs to be a lot more mindful of punctuality and client communication.
