What I really like about this place is the wealth of experience that he brings to the work he performs. I was uncertain about the right kind of font for the pocket watches I wanted to engrave for my groomsmen, and he was able to pick the perfect font and execute the design perfectly in a way that looks very special, unique, and make these gifts something really meaningful. more

Great Quality at Rapid Speed 11/23/2010

I am a concierge at a five star hotel down in the Soho area. I recently came across a crazy request from a guest to have a makeup brush custom engraved and needed it within 3 hours. I called over 20 places down here in Soho and no one would take the job. I then started calling places further uptown and when i finally called Alpha they confidently said they could do it. This was after calling around 25-30 places before. I ran uptown and within an hour and a half i was holding the beautifuly custom engraved makeup brush. They saved my life as we are never alowed to say we cant to a guest. Their professionalism and timliness can not be beat. THUMBS UP!! Thanks again. more

Best service in Manhattan 12/7/2009

I went to Alpha engraving recently to personalize a last minute birthday gift. Facing a huge list of errands, I was pretty frantic when I walked in; but I was immediately reassured by the friendly and professional service (not to mention my gift was ready in less than 30 minutes!!!). The engraving was flawless, the font was perfectly selected, and the price was undoubtedly reasonable. No reason to go anywhere else in the city--Alpha engraving is the best! Great service! Excellent worksmanship! 9/11/2009

I went there today to get my iPod Touch engraved. Left it with them Wednesday afternoon, picked it up Friday morning. Great quality, looks greater than I imagined. A bit pricey compared to some other places I looked at, but definitely worth every penny. If you want quality work done, this is the place. I'm definitely coming back here the next time I need something engraved. Pros: Excellent worksmanship, Conveniently located in Midtown Cons: Somewhat pricey compared to some other places. more

Great Engraving Shop (can engrave custom artwork) 6/24/2009

I got various metal items engraved as groomsmen gifts (film can, platter, hatchet, cigar cutter, flask, lighter). They were able to engrave my custom artwork and everything came out looking fantastic. I provided the staff with a vectorized image file (eps) and they worked with me to get the best results. They used the diamond point engraving technique to get my images onto the metal items. Needless to say, my groomsmen were blown away and loved their gifts. Definitely check this place out if you need something engraved. Pros: great service, great results, responsive, inexpensive Cons: Not open on weekends more

Excellent shop! They truly care about their work and their customers. I had a rush job that was not easy to do; Alpha took time to make sure I was happy with setup before doing job; was responsive and kept checking back to make sure I was happy with work, and rushed job to successfully meet my time-pressured deadline. On top of it, they then charged a very fair price. Refreshing and unusual. Small family-oriented biz that really cares -- I will go to them again, hands-down, for my future engraving jobs. Terrific overall experience, and highly recommended. Pros: Fantastic: responsive, careful, attentive to customer needs; fairly-priced Cons: None that I experienced with this job - I'd use again. more

Fantastic service 5/11/2007

We went to Alpha Engravers to have eight watches engraved. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The design we wanted put on the watches is very intricate, they spent a while with us working out the details and ensuring that they would do exactly as we wanted. The watches look amazing!!! Incredible detail, you can tell that they spent a lot of time working on them. And they were done within a week! A great big thank you to Alpha Engravers! more

Happy designer 4/27/2007

I found Alpha Engravers in the Yellow Pages online, which is usually a hit-or-miss proposition. I needed to get some aluminum portfolio boxes engraved with my logo, and was also in a big hurry to get them finished for a meeting. My logo is very delicate and I and was concerned that they wouldn't be able to hold the detail. That said, I am an extremely picky designer and was THRILLED both with the sevice and the quality of the workmanship. They also finished the pieces when they said they would! more

Pays Attention to Details! 4/23/2007

I went to alpha engraving to do some work for my boss who is a photographer. We asked them to do some work that they were not so used to doing which was laser cutting photos. They were very willing and able. They did a very nice job paying attention to all the details given about these exhibition quality prints. I highly recoment them for any type of engraving work! Overly priced. 2/27/2005

I went in to get a quote from these folks and they gave me a quote 3 times more than other places. The person I dealt with said that I could go ahead and check around for other prices and that they definitely had the lowest price. more
