Very rude staff 9/14/2010

This office has the rudest receptionist on earth and all this practice is about is collecting money. Crystal, the receptionist, is rude on the phone and in person. She has no sense of confidentiality as I have seen her be extremely snotty to patients about their bills in front of everyone in the waiting room. They also have a policy of having to wait 48 hours for a call-back from the nurse. You'll get a call-back within 48 hrs. only if you're lucky. No sense of urgency. The doctor is fine but seems unwilling/unable to put staff in their place and make necessary changes. Alliance's corporate office (yes they are a COMPANY and therefore only concerned with their financial bottom line) is in Texas and is not in sync with the Raleigh office regarding payments, bills, etc. more

worst customer service - just want to get as many patients in and out as possible to collect $$$ - 2/6/2008

Very unprofessional when answering phones. Specifically, I called and made an appt. to see one of the doctors. At the appt., everything was fine. The doctor prescribed antibiiotics for a sinus infection. I have taken the medication as prescribed, twice a day. I am almost done with the medication and still have an incredibly sore throat and other symptoms that indicate the infection is NOT getting better. I call today and on the nurse message line the message says - ""please allow up to 48 hours for your call to be returned"" - wait a minute - 48 hours is a long time when suffering with painful symptoms. I have already been in and waited in the waiting room patiently, seen the doctor, paid my co-pay and simply need a different antibiotic called in to the pharmacy. I leave a message, I call back to talk to the 'receptionist' and she informs me that they are booked solid and the nurse won't be checking messages until 'later in the afternoon'. I explain that I am diabetic and my sugars are being affected and I really need to get something called in today and she says in her snotty voice 'do you want to come in for an appt' I said 'sure, but I'm not going to pay another copay' she says 'anytime you see the doctor you have to pay'. So - basically - If I wait until the 'nurse' calls back - I potentially am looking at being sick and feeling crappy for another 2 days, or I can PAY to go and see the doctor AGAIN for something I have already paid for just to get a prescription called in that will actually work. Shouldn't a doctor's office leave a certain amount of time to check messages and return calls the same business day - especially when talking about messages from patients who are established with the practice and have already paid to be treated?? And what has happened to proper etiquette and manners and professionalism when answering a phone - in a medical practice especially. I am leaving this practice immediately! Cons: trying to get a callback from a nurse may take up to 48 hours, unprofesional more
