Very Trendy and Sexual 5/16/2004

You feel like you entered an all-VIP club as the only entrance is in the Alley with no sign. Great trance and progressive music. Drinks are expensive, but its a martini lounge and dance club... dont go if you are cheap! Sexy go-go dancers and has a very intimate environment for a dance club. Please, dont hang out in the room that plays top 40 music.... this place is about good trance music, not ghetto dancing. Pros: Good Trance, VIP feel throughout, Elaborate Go-go girls Cons: , One Room has Top 40 more

Drinks of Gold! 4/4/2004

I have had a fun time at Alley Cat each time I have went but I have stopped going now due to the extremely high drink prices. $11+tip. We would rather go elsewhere and see half-naked girls dancing at Shotgun Willies for almost free! more

VIP 12/21/2003

I have been to this club many times. I usually come through VIP. They treat their regulars VERY well. The atmosphere is a hip "underground" classy vibe --exclusive. The beautiful people, red lights, dancers, the demonic style(hands comingout of the red velvet wall, beckoning you) almost makes you feel like you've discovered a dirty little secret and gets your imagination running. The drinks are a bit pricey, but no more than anywhere else. They play good music----Nice spins DJ Rob!! It is small enough to be intimate, but there is still plenty of room to "shake your tailfeathers." I would recommend this club to anyone who wants a change of scenery in Denver, because this club is like nothing else. Pros: Service, Atmosphere, Music Cons: Pricey more

Get Your Freak On! 2/28/2003

Three separate dance floors, including VIP area. This place rocks! They take EXCELLENT care of the regulars that shell-out for the VIP space. By far the best in the city. During the holidays there are theme parties that I would characterize as "Ibiza-like". Lot's of fun, and the clientele are very friendly. If you are gutsy, you can dance in a cage with someone you've never spoken to but will hopefully boink before daybreak. Pros: The Cage, People Are Friendly, VIP Space more

Very upscale 10/3/2002

Everyone in this club has style. You don't feel like your in another Denver bar in this club. Pros: sexy people, good atmosphere Cons: expensive more

Never Again 10/3/2002

NO way!!! This place sucks. Too expensive and the staff and clientel are too fake. The music is too loud so it makes it impossible to talk to chicks. more

Dancin' 9/26/2002

I always have a great time here! drinks are a little much but the bar tenders tend to pour your money worth. more

Racially motivated rejection 9/13/2002

Prior to a recent night at AC, I have experienced excellent treatment and service in VIP several times. Recently, I reserved for VIP and received a call back confirming my reservation. I and my companion were given a very hard time about our IDs and our reservation. The hostess confirmed our reservation while the doorman insisted we had no reservation! The cutoff time to honor our reservation was 11, yet he prevented us from getting in on time by making us stand in line. Next, a second security person immediately harrassed us about not having stamps to get in to VIP, of which the first security person did not provide, probably by intention. We were made to feel unwelcome. People in line before us were not treated this way. I would hate to think this was racially motivated, but I am left with no other explanation. Pros: Great decor, Sexy Vibe, Ultra hip Cons: Rude Service, Pretentious, High prices more

Kick ass dancing! 8/11/2002

This is the best club in Denver! I always have a blast there. A plus for the dress code and dancers. Drinks are expensive, but not more than anywhere else. Pros: dancers, crowded Cons: expensive more

No More Jackson/Lauren 6/11/2002

Alley Cat IS the best club in Denver, but please no more Micheal Jackson and no more Ralph Lauren. You can get this stuff at Poly Esther's! more

Watch out for the drink prices....they are a little steep have a few drinks before you go!!!! Pros: fire dancers, atmosphere Cons: expensive drinks, yuppies more

Editorial
  • The Scene
The aura of mystery and exclusivity begins at the front door in the alley behind strip club Diamond Cabaret. A stairway ascends past a shrine to a narrow hallway, where muffled music throbs behind closed doors.

    The Draw
World-class DJs spin trance in a diminutive lounge area, and house in the main room. A small dance floor accommodates those who grind to the beat, but all eyes are on the stage, where girls writhe and groove to the pounding bass. Clubbers pay a premium price for drinks, but don't seem to mind. A semi-private VIP area offers bottle service and a close-up view of the live tabletop performance, anyone from the last dancer on the big stage to a shirtless, muscular fire-eater.
