Allegra, Ludwig A, MD - Northwest Nasal Sinus Center

Before sending her launching her out of the nest and into the college life, I put my daughter through the same dang surgery that I and my other siblings went through. She inherited a deviated septum from me and always had stuffy nose and recurring sinus and ear infections. Someone at work suggested Dr. Allegra. On our initial visit to his Kirkland facility, we thought we ended up in the wrong place since it looked more like an upscale spa than an ENT clinic. A far cry from the one I went to. Dr. Allegra gained my confidence immediately during initial consult since I have been through the same surgery. Dr. Allegra articulated options very clearly, laid out the procedure and what to expect as to pain and the healing process. My daughter was quick to say lets do it. The day of the surgery was uneventful. The nurse called to check on her the day after even though it was the weekend. The follow-up visit turned out to be great as Dr. Allegra showed up and cleaned out the wound even though it was supposed to be a visit with the nurse. The Kirklad location worked out great for me since I lived on the East side and I hate trying to find parking in downtown seatle for my large vehicle. SInce the Kirkland facility is right on the lake, I was able to walk my dog and enjoy the stroll while waiting for her. Even though there is ample parking near and under the building, you have to pay for it except for when you are there for the surgery. I bought Latte from the starbucks in the same block and had them validate the parking. It's been week and half and so far my daughter is doing fine. We have a follow up visit scheduled for next week. My nose is still in alot of pain, I had surgery first about 15 years ago with dr lugwig to remove a small bump on the top of my nose,he talked me into having my sinus cleaned out too. What a mistake!!!! Anyway a bump formed on my nose 15 years later.I went to six doctors to find out what the heck i could do. You would not believe all the responses i got .The biggest mistake was going back to him,since no other doctor would help me.He did surgery on my nose and did not do a very good job, i still have a small bump and now i have terrible sinus problems.Before you have surgery from him check out ens on the internet. more

Dr. Allegra performed my sinus surgery on September 18, 2008. I was scared when I went in, but the staff was very helpful and the back waiting room was very comfortable. They explained everything to me really well so I could be prepared for what was going to happen. Just as they said, when I woke up I was confused, cold, nauseaus and in pain. That's a given when you have just come out of anesthesia! It was very difficult to breathe the first few nights, but they told me to expect that. \r \r In response to the bad review written; I understand that you must have been overly concerned about your daughter, but I imagine she was never in any real danger because all the issues you explained are perfectly normal. Maybe THAT is the message you should have gleaned from Dr. Allegra not seeming too concerned. Pros: Great staff, great waiting room Cons: The surgery! Not the most fun! more

I have been a pt for over two years and seen nearly every provider at NW Face and would never go anywhere else!!! Everyone treats you with respect and their front desk is great about getting you set up. I has sinus surgery with Dr Allegra and was the greatest thing I have done for myself, very little pain and wonderful results. I have had botox with Stephanie, Stella, Lisa Miner, Dr Ummat, and Gary Beerman, which all make the procedure easy and enjoyable. I have never had a bad expierence at NW Face and would reccomend them to anyone!! You seriously are in great hands with anyone Dr there. Big thumbs up to NW face thanks for keeping me healthy and beautiful!!!!! more

Dr. Allegra did sinus surgery on my 16 year old daughter. First, he grossly underestimated the amount of anesthesia she would need and she was in great pain and shock when I went to pick her up. At night when she literally could not BREATHE I called Dr. Allegra. I explained her situation to him and he acted as if it were no big deal. When I suggested she should go to the emrgency room he was very dismissive and responded as if I were crazy. I had the feeling he didn't want anyone to see his mistakes. My daughter was in agony and scared to death. Niether she nor I will ever forget that night. Not only did Dr. Allegra cause much unnecessary pain and suffereing, he was totally cold and heartless to boot. There are lots of other docs out there. Use one of them!!! Cons: read my comments.
