Albuquerque Pools & Spas

We really regret using Albuquerque Pools and Spas. When we closed our 3 year old pool last Fall, it was in perfect working order. We arranged for them to open our pool and provide biweekly cleaning service. They ""opened"" our pool - after showing up 45 minutes late. It took 3 visits to supposedly clean the pool. Two days after their last visit, we opened it to swim for the first time and found it to be filthy. An entire layer of debris on the bottom of the pool. There was also no water return to the pool - only to the spa, which was also rather dirty. We have an auto pool cover which seals out the vast majority of debris. We were upset, but understanding that something just must have gone wrong and that they would fix it. So we emailed Brad twice and received no response. We called and got no response. We figured we'd wait a few days and just talk to them when they came to clean it again. But, of course, they never came to clean it. My wife left another voice message and finally we got an email with some cockamamie excuse that they'd gotten a big contract and wouldn't be able to service our pool this year. So if you're looking for someone who may actually be able to HELP you, look elsewhere. more

Brad at the owner of the pool company made his first call to give an esitmate of the repairs (had to pay for that) then he came back to make the repairs. Worked on it for 30 min then he had to order another part. $575.00 more

They never return calls or messages...It has now been 17 months of missed appontments or no shows. Their error has caused more damage. more

I almost forgot what good old fashioned service was.. I had called 2 other places, one did not show up, the other looked at my spa & said"" I can't fix this spa it's too new! Albuquerque pools & Spas showed up on time. They also had to order the parts from out of state. It took 2 days & my spa was running again. My back thank's you. G. Franklin more

These people were very easy to explain what problems I was having with my spa. They showed up on time, replaced the circuit board that was 6 months out of warrany from the spa dealer. After using the spa later that night i almost forgot the 450.00 for the circuit board. I am very happy to reccomend them. M Smith more

I called for an appointment to get an estimate to install new equipment and open my pool and he didn't show up or call to cancel. I called to see what happened and my call was not returned. I admitted I had a big mess in my pool, but if he did not want to take on the job, why schedule an appointment for an estimate? Or at least call to cancel it. more

I have owned 2 homes swith pools in Albuquerque. I have worked with most pool service companys over the last 28 years. I have used Brad at Albuquerque Pools & Spas for the last 20 years. The service has been very good. I am a roofing contractor by trade. I went thru 17 service firms in town before I found 1 that was licensed, bonded & insured. Most people do not realize that working on plumbing,pumps,heaters requires a license. I checked out 16 firms on the state construction industries web site to verify that they we indeed a licensed NM contractor. None passed, Albuquerque pools was the first. I have used them for my home pools & on commercial renovation's for my business. J.R. Robinson more

It is amazing that a customer can post a review on this site without stating all the facts. But, is such a deadbeat that they cannot pay their bill. This is why people turned over to a collection agency. more

I have had extremely bad service. It has been over three weeks since I initially called fo service. He didn't show or call for my first appointment, showed on the reschedule, got water in the control panel, did not return in the afternoon, eventually broke my heater, and never returned subsequent phone calls. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office. more
