I have been coming to this place for over 40 years. Used to work at O'Hare and there truly was and is no better sub to be had ANYWHERE! I now live in Texas and I still come up to enjoy the sandwhiches! That goes toshow that I STILL haven't found ANYTHING to compare the place to! Keep up the subs, please! I hope the place stay as it is at least for MY lifetime! Pros: There is NO DOWNSIDE! Cons: I cannot find a con, other than to say I wish I could get these subs in DFW, Texas! more

Hey how you doin’? Al & Joe’s has been around as long as I can remember. This deli has the best Italian Sub sandwiches in the Chicagoland area. True fans of this deli know exactly how to get there which can be a little tricky. Anyway, the smell of all the fresh meat, cheese, and olive oil will make your mouth water. This deli also sells pop, liquor, chips, and other basic house hold items. Check it out. Yous guys won’t be disappointed.\r \r Martino more

Great Place 9/13/2004

Al & Joes is not only a great place to get amazing italian subs, soups, and salads. But you can pick up things you may need for around the house just like your neighborhood corner store. Its a great place and the prices are extremally good as well. Pros: Inexpensive, Convienient Parking, Small more

The way a sub is meant to be... 1/26/2003

Been eating Al & Joe's Italian subs for the past 20 years, since I was about 5 or 6. Excellent subs, sandwiches and salads. Artichoke and olive salads are amazing. Italian subs are the real deal and on real bread. The way a sub should be. Subway is a sandwich, not a sub. Al & Joe's does subs right. Always have, always will. You can't go wrong here. more
