My tan looks awesome!! I was so surprised at how professional Sharla was. I was completely comfortable with her from the minute I walked in. My bronzer by the end of the day was a little orange but Sharla assured me when I took a shower it would come off . She was right! I was left with a beautiful golden tan. I have never written a review before but I had to share my experience with Airbrush Tans of Austin. With my skin, I am not able to tan in tanning beds or the sun due to cancerous tendancies my skin has. I am white as a sheet of paper and if I am out in the sun, I just burn red and then turn back white again..no tanning for me. I didn't want to do anything that didn't look natural and professional so I avoided Mystic Tans due to friends experiences and I tried tanning lotions and never received the desired affect I was looking for. I just moved here from Waco and found Airbrush Tans of Austin and read the website which seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. I took a chance and made an appt with Sharla and it was truly one of the best decisions of my life. Not only did I receive the tanned look that I have longed for my whole life but I made a new friend with Sharla. She is absolutely professional, friendly and down to earth. The whole experience was informative, comfortable and confidence building. I went to get my tan expecting to come out looking nice but really nothing else. While I have always valued aesthetics, I have recently become a new mom and by way of excusing myself from the hard work of keeping a nice appearance - I had resolved myself to thinking I was somehow above making the effort. Visiting Sharla and having some new color on my skin was an enjoyable (in spite of my nervousness!), enlightening, and empowering experience. I walked out of there looking like a million bucks! Most importantly though, I left with a renewed understanding of just how good taking the extra time to look lovely makes me feel on the INSIDE. Thank you, Sharla. ALSO - I got my tan just before going to see old high school friends and my parents for a wedding. All of these people are the harshest critics I can imagine. To the very last, I was complimented on how amazing my skin looked. Sharla is so wonderful. Tanning beds and spray tans in most salons make me look orange and don't last long on my skin. Sharla airbrushed tanned me for my wedding and it looked perfect. I can't begin to tell you how many compliments I received. It looked so natural and was perfectly even. I did a practice run a week before my wedding...everyone thought I looked so great that another one of my bridesmaids and my mom decided to do it with me before the big day because they liked it so much. Sharla is so wonderful. She makes you feel really comfortable and mixes the color that looks the best with your skin tone. It lasts a good week and it even looks good when it's fading. It is inexpensive and quick. I am so lucky to have found her. My tan looks so natural in all my pictures! I would recommend Sharla to anyone! What a lifesaver! I live in South Austin and promise you it is worth every bit of the the drive to Cedar Park. There is no one else in Austin that does this, I promise! sharla and air brush tans of austin are fabulous. she is very professional and freindly, you feel completely comfortable . her buisiness is in cedar park and very accessable form 183 a. I love my tans . people ask me all the time about my skin and i tell them sharla and air brush tans,it is safe and lasts along time, it doesn,t have the any of the smell of mistic tans and she custom mixes her products,which are all natural . she is very precise and alot of fun to visit with . you feel like she has been your freind for years when you leave, she has a great gift for making each one of her clients feel good about themselves. i just love her all of my freinds and co workers use her . 5 stars please give her a call you won,t want to start spring with out an air brush tan from sharla . she should have 6 stars. more

Sharla is AMAZING!! I can?t say enough about how wonderful airbrush tanning is at Airbrush tans of Austin. This is not like the tan you get at the booth at one of those tanning salons.. this looks REAL and makes your skin look beautiful. The best part is she can adjust the color to your skin tone, this isn?t one of those one color for everyone type things. She can make you have a nice glow in the winter so you don?t look like one of those freaks who are insanely dark in the dead of winter ...and trust me she can make you dark if you want to go dark in summer. I almost hate to give up my secret of Airbrush Tans of Austin. I go once a week and get Sharla to tan me. I have so much fun while I?m there!! She makes you feel at home; like you went over to one of your best friend?s house to hang out and bonus you came home with an awesome tan. This was my first time having an airbrush tan, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but Sharla was wonderful. The salon is actually in her home, so the environment is very comfortable and she took time and explained everything and made me feel at ease. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great tan and fantastic customer service. I live north of Austin, so she is just minutes away, but for anyone who lives south, she is worth the drive :) more

After experiencing my first airbrush tan at the spa in the Wynn Las Vegas I was hooked. I found Airbrush Tans of Austin on Citysearch, and decided to try it figuring I'd get a good tan but never expecting to top the Wynn. I was completely wrong. Sharla is an artist. She created the exact color I wanted and made me feel completely at home, like I've known her for years. My tan lasted over two weeks, and her prices are exceptional. I've been to see Sharla twice now and left both times extremely happy with the results! She is very professional and friendly and makes you feel extremely comfortable in an awkward situation. The tan looks great and is very natural, mine usually lasts about a week. I always get compliments on my tan and people think I've actually been on vacation, which I love! I had never spray-tanned in a booth or had an airbrush tan before, so I wasn't sure what to expect but I was put right at ease with Sharla. She is super-sweet & professional, and explained the entire process to me, including the ingredients in the tanning spray, and how to care for my tan afterwards. Even though it's a home-based salon, it's so cute & soothing, very well decorated & professional, and I felt very comfortable.\r Now to the really important part....the tan was incredible! I was a little nervous that it would be orange-y or uneven, but it really came out perfect! The color was perfect for my skin tone & I didn't have any streaks or uneven spots. I had people at work complimenting me, telling me that I looked so natural & that it looked like I just got back from the beach (not from a tanner!) They were all asking me where they could go to get a tan like mine. \r The pricing is very reasonable, and well worth it....I will be going back to Sharla regularly! more

This was my first airbrush tan, and I am very impressed with the results. I have spray tanned in a booth before, and while it looks okay, you can still tell it is fake (kind of orangy). Sharla was great, not pressuring at all and makes you feel EXTREMELY comfortable in an otherwise awkward situation.\r \r The actual tan was beautiful; the color is unbelieveably real. I used some glimmer dust on my skin afterwards and it looked like I had spent a week at the beach. Highly recommended. A word of advice, though: try to exfoliate beforehand, and make sure you don't put on any lotions, etc., till afterwards. I love going to Airbrush Tans of Austin. The price is great and the service is unmatched. Plus it is close to my house. I highly recommend going. I feel completely comfortable during the process and leave happy. You do have to plan ahead. If you have an event you want some color for, this process takes about an hour from walk in to walk out, and you have to leave it on, and not shower for at least 8-12 hours. But the results are worth it! I love it! Pros: customer service is unmatched. more

since it is in a home atmosphere, you will not get the spa environment, but you are getting a sunless tan, so you really don't need that environment. She is excellent on working around your schedule and in her application. more
