Well, as you can read in these other reviews what started out as a good company quickly became a nightmare, rates climbing, no customer service member can ever remember talking to you, (must attend the Oliver North training program.) This company is the biggest scam ever, I used them because I knew someone who worked there at the time and I got a pretty good deal..... well for awhile that is. Anyway, my rate went up constantly and without warning so before I moved I called and let them know that I wanted to cancel my service with them and see about getting a refund since I had already paid for the month and was only using five days of service. Well, big shocker, I NEVER got my refund and I spoke with a supervisor who said they had no recorded conversation with me stating that I would like to cancel my service !!!! Surprise, surprise !!!!! I have called a few times since moving and of course I get no help at all. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON !!!!! Just stick with Reliant. I only gave them one star because you are not allowed to give them ""NO STARS"" Pros: Not even one more

\r \r I read your other article, you know, the REALLY long one....well for someone who calls out someone else on bad grammar, you should choose your words wisely next time...maggots...don't suck...i think you meant LEACHES! And you also spelled simple words like ""tired"" and ""pieces"" wrong! I've actually heard good things about this company including the people in it. I have just have one word for their early marketing practices: ""PREDATORY"". They sell prepaid electricity at extremely high prices to customers in low income neighborhoods. The people in these neighborhoods are already struggling to survive and barely making it day to day. They go down in their neighborhoods and charge them up the wazoo. If you need more information feel free to search on google. Also you can look it up on complaint boards after doing a search for Affordable Power Inc.(that's a website). \r \r So this unorganized and completely disfunctional organization actually started signing up commercial customers for electricity plans. They aren't able to manage them very well though. In 2006 they were fined $223,000 by the Public Utility Commission for disconnecting their customers without prior notice. \r \r I am tired of a bad power company like Affordable Power charging consumers so much money. They used predatory practices to acquire their initial customer load. They do not deserve to be supported by the good people of Texas. That is why I don't recommend them to ANYONE.
