Installed the aero stream one year ago and now the system needs replacing. The aerator produces such violent bubbling it forced solids into the bed plugging it. Do not buy this ...

A weight lifted off of our shoulders! 6/15/2012

We just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone at Aero-Stream! About 2 months we started noticing a little bit of ponding in the area of our leach field so we called in our septic guy. He decided to dig up our d-box but before he could even get the lid off completely, it just started overflowing, nothing was going through the laterals into the leach field. Our septic system is extremely old, 45+ years old. We were told that our system was probably at about an 80 failure and we needed a whole new system and most likely would have to be relocated to another part of our property. We were given the names of some local engineers and contractors to start the process of getting a new septic system dug. We were quoted a ball park of $40,000 for a new system!! We are a one income family with 2 small kids at home and no way did we have $40,000 or anyway of getting that kind of money. We started researching and found many different chemical treatments for the system to try. We were uneasy using the quantity of chemicals they were suggesting and after doing some more research, we began to read more and more about how these chemicals could do more damage to our system. We came across Aero-Stream website as an alternative and started researching everything about the system and the company. We decided to try the system first, what could we lose, it's money back guarantee! We have had the Aero-Stream system installed for about 2 months now and we just dug up the d-box, and the septic cover to see how everything was. We were completely SHOCKED!! We figured we would see a bit of improvement because it had been 2 months but not as drastic of an improvement as we saw. The septic tank had no scum or sludge build up at all. The d-box water level had gone down drastically and flowing out of the laterals as it should normally!! We can not thank you enough, you have lifted a huge weight off our shoulders! more

No more septic tank problems 6/15/2012

We purchased the Aero-Strean sytem 2 years ago as a final effort prior to replacement of the entire system. For years we battled wet, soggy and stinky areas over our septic system. We tried chemicals, digging up various areas of the drainage bed, topsoil and even in desparation built a "flower bed" over the wettest area in an attempt to disquise the area. After about 3-4 months the wet spots were completely dried. After 2 years of dry yard and no odor or problem, we just had our tank pumped and the man who pumped it said that he has been working in the field for 35 years and never saw a tank working so well. He requested the information for his business and we sent it to him right away... My husband was right when he purchased. I was not happy with his decision at the time but for the record "he was right"... Very happy in central PA. FYI: The flower bed is gone now too. Great product. more

Truly amazing product! 4/23/2012

In regards to Aero-Stream, the product, the company and all of the help I was given from my very first communication, I say thumbs up to a first rate company. The system delivers all that is advertised, the people who answer the phones are real, (no robots)and very informative, the delivery of product was very fast, right on time actually. In only a little over two weeks I am seeing dramatic results in my septic system. Not only does it smell a whole lot better, it is working much closer to normal. No more slow drains or flushes,no more back ups and the water level in my tank remains right where it should be. Hats off to Karl Holt for a truly great product and for his American company and all of his professional help. It was a wonderful experience, money well spent! more

$900 versus $9000? No-Brainer. I saved myself at least $8100 dollars 4/10/2012

One Very Happy Customer. We stood over the empty septic tank and talked. The system was 14 years old and had been pumped out four times since we installed it: today, 2 month ago, 20 months before that, and 29 months before that. I was told my plastic septic tank had warped, the dividers inside had detached from the ceiling and sides allowing solids into the effluent side; I was told the solids had flowed into the drain field and had clogged it up; I was told the entire system needed to be replaced. I was told there was no other option. Surely the average homeowner with a septic system doesn't budget to replace it every 14 years? Something didn't make sense. I own three other systems and they were not having problems. Determined to understand, I started my research online, starting with Infiltrator systems.com. I knew the drain field contained "infiltrator chambers" -- not perforated pipe -- but I knew little about how those systems were supposed to work and how they could fail? Knowing the design of the chambers and how they were supposed to work helped me to challenge a lot of what the contractor had said. (I recommend anyone dealing with this sort of situation to get the facts.) The tank wasn't warped -- it was designed that way. And the drain field chambers were designed to hold fluids, standing at the same level of the effluent inside the septic tank. Slowing drain fields appeared to be a familiar problem as Infiltrator themselves offered a "remediator" designed to correct the problem. So I tried to reach them. They never returned any of my calls or emails. I never did find out how much their unit cost. It was during my continued research that I found an interesting publication entitled "Uncover the Truth About Your Septic System." Written by Aero-Stream, it was the most helpful document I had found on the subject of a slowing drain field, what seemed to be my main problem. It explained the difference between aerobic and anaerobic action and how the latter contributes to development of a "bio-mat" that left unchecked, can clog the pores and passageways in the drain field. It was logical. It made a lot of sense. It sounded like my problem. And it was backed by a 100 Guarantee so a complete no-brainer: $900 to try the Remediator and see if it actually worked; or $9000+ to replace the existing system and never know. I gave Aero-Stream a call, reached someone on my first attempt who immediately answered all my questions. The products arrived shortly after placing my order: three days to California out of Colorado. It didn't look like much, to tell you the truth. Clear plastic tubing, marine floats, weird bundles of fiber, and what appeared to be an air pump housed in a small, unobtrusive green shell that made me think of a turtle. About the size of a basketball. It wasn't "pretty." But I was more interested in FUNCTION over form. (It was going to be sitting inside the bottom of the septic tank, so who cares?) Installation was a snap. I lucked out drilling the 5/8th inch air-tube hole through the plastic riser. Afraid I'd drop the drill into the tank, I drilled from the outside IN, as opposed to the other way around. This approach let me see that the outer surface of the riser was ribbed. So I was able to drill through the thinnest part of the plastic instead of potentially drilling through a very thick rib. I lowered the aerating air-stone, fibers, floats and tube to the bottom of the tank and plugged the unit it. I was very pleased to find out that the air pump only emitted a soft whirring sound when in operation. Like the motor of a refrigerator compressor. It was very quiet and not the least bit intrusive. It's been just over a month now and from what I can tell, the drain field is draining, fluid in the infiltrator chambers holding between 8" and 10", the normal operating level of the septic tank. Since effluent is flowing out of the tank according to what is flowing in, I am assuming that the aerobic bacteria is working to reduce the bio-mat and restore the drain field. I will continue to monitor the tank in the month to come. If the logic described in Aero-Stream's "Uncover the Truth About Your Septic System" proves true, I am optimistic that the Remediator will do its job and I will not need to replace my septic system after all. One very happy customer! more

DRAINFIELD WOULD NOT DRAIN ANYTHING B/4 THE INSTALLATION OF THE AERO-STREAM KIT 4/5/2012

USED THE AERO-STREAM KIT AND THE BIOMAT BROKE WITHIN 2 DAYS AND THE DRAINFIELD STARTED TO DRAIN WATER LIKE ANYTHING. VERY PLEASED WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THE AERO-STREAM KIT. more

This is a Great System, it solved my slow drain field problem. 3/19/2012

Dear Karl, It has been about 7 months since I installed your system, and yesterday I dug up my D-Box to see where the water level was at. After digging it out and pulling the cover off I was pleasantly surprised to see that my water level was at the bottom of my drain field pipes. There is no doubt in my mind that this product works and I would 100 recommend it to my friends and family, as a matter of fact I plan to buy another unit for my cabin. Your product saved me around $7000.00 Thank you!!! Dale Minnesota more

Dear sir, I live in souther Massachusetts and I was quoted $40,000 for a new mound system. I tried this after a lot of research and I was truly amazed. With the money that I saved, I was able to use as an addition for my family. I recommend it to anyone who has a septic field, do it before the problems start! 2/28/2012

Hi Karl, I am pleased to report that after 9 months of continuous use of your Aero-Stream system, I am problem free. The trouble started in November 2010 when my old weeping field (30+ years ???) started to block my entire system. I got my septic tank emptied a few times but the problem kept coming back. After a lot of research, decided to give Aero-Stream a try, the only other option being to get a new field installed, which, in my specific situation, would have been very difficult. So, we installed it (very easy to do), we crossed our fingers that we would be able to go though the Winter without problems. Since then, I followed your advice in regards to the handling of septic systems, especially with water utilization and minimizing any substance reaching the tanks. A strainer mesh at the bottom of the kitchen sink is very efficient. I cannot believe the amount of food scraps that was previously going in my system. We also installed a filter on the washing machine. We had a very rainy Spring here a lot of people had problems with their system. We did not! In short, I avoided a $25,000. repair bill for a new system. It is especially expensive where I live because I would have to have my weeping field in the back of my house on the fairly steep grade which would require pumps... I am extremely satisfied with your solution and am now confident that I will be worry free for a long while. We are so grateful and recommend it to anyone, even as a preventative measure, if we ever move, it will be the first thing we do if we have a septic field. Merci! more

pleased beyond expectations 2/25/2012

we were skeptical, but after getting quotes for a new septic system in the $8-10,000 range, we thought it was worth a try, especially with the full satisfaction warranty. It has performed as promised, foul order disappeared within 24 hours, tank level went down to normal range within in a week, already paid for itself by cutting out the bi-weekly pumping we were having to do. more

Your system is all and more then we had expected it to be. 2/6/2012

When we first installed your system our leech field had been declared dead by the pumping service that we use.Since then the leech field runs well and the system is the least of our concerns today. Thank you for a product that really works. B. Stough more

It works 1/2/2012

It seemed too good to be true, but with three months or so of operations, there has not been an issue with my septic system since the day the unit was installed. more

Fantastic Customer Service 12/6/2011

I can't speak to how the product works yet because it was just installed today, but I can say I've never had better customer service anywhere. My brother put the system in for me and called Aero-Stream during installation to ask questions and was helped immediately. I had to return extra tubing that I purchased and didn't end up needing and they refunded my card immediately. So nice to do business with people who are so helpful, and so rare in this day and age. more

AERO-STREAM PRO-LINE KIT 12/2/2011

We are extremely pleased with our Aero-Stream system. We were contacted within 10 days of the installation and were asked several questions about the installation. Also, we were asked if we had any concerns, of which we had none. System is still working perfectly and we are completely satisfield. more

Unbelievable savings 12/1/2011

I am on my 6th year with the system. When I thought I needed to replace my entire drain field and estimates ranged from $6000 to $15000 I had to try your product. Now 6 years later I have not had to drain my septic except for the first month after I installed it. I was doing it every two months and it was getting closer to every month. At $350 per month to drain at 72 months, I have saved over $24000 and it still just humming along in my yard. What an excellent product. more

An excellent product, with topnotch support. 12/1/2011

We bought Aero-Stream in June of 2010. Our septic system unofficially failed an inspection. The official inspection had to be completed by the end of 2011. We did quite a bit of research, found the Aero-Stream website, looked at several research articles, and with bated breath and some trepidation, bought the system. Yesterday, they officially inspected our previously failed septic system. IT PASSED! Wow. What a major relief. This is a wonderful product, which has turned around a failed septic system. The support was topnotch and has continued, when our brushes recently developed some problems (outside of the warranty time, I believe). Aero-Stream's product works. It has saved us thousands of dollars, for which we are extremely grateful. more

Thanks for the results 12/1/2011

We had a bad septic field with some ponding but after we put the system in it only took a few months to see the difference . After a year the ground was dry again. Thank you very much. Pennsylvania more

Absolute Satisfaction! 10/12/2011

I, the original (and still the greatest) skeptic, am without the right words to describe my total satisfaction with this product. It worked and worked flawlessly in complete compliance with advertised claims. It took about 14 months in my case to totally restore a grossly abused/failed system. However, fix it it did and they stuck with me all the way. Customer service was/is way beyond admirable. more
