Hope you have lots of time. Work not complete to this day 9/23/2017

Do NOT use this company. We had mold and left the apartment for safety reasons while work was done. We were told it'd be about 17 days before moving back in. That seemed reasonable. We were out for well over a month. This should've taken 2-1/2 weeks tops. I made a key for Jerry Bernard (Owner of Above and Beyond) so they could come and go as they pleased during the work day. I kept close watch of the work that was done and who was coming and going. It was a revolving door. The owner or possibly one of the many others coming and going had lost the key. A couple of employees were questionable in character. Turns out, 2 employees were fired. Out of anger, they hammered and busted holes in our sheet rock and duct work in the air conditioning. We felt it was necessary to change the locks. As I mentioned, I kept close watch over the place during the time they were doing work and it was rare anyone ever showed up to the job until well after lunch. Some days they never even showed up at all. At this point the mold had already been removed and it was safe to work. I came home one day and our restroom looked equivalent to the most disgusting gas station bathroom you'd ever seen. Dark colored urine covered the rim of our toilet and made its way to the floor as well as our bathroom rug stained with dirty boot prints. I called the owner to ask that they be a little more careful with their aim and treat the place as their own. He said he actually had seen the mess but didn't want to use his clean microfiber cloth to wipe up urine. I think anyone would find that to be a pathetic excuse. They had to cut areas out of the ceiling and replace it with more sheet rock. The areas where they worked are still visible to this day where huge seams line the ceiling due to poor mudding. I pointed it out to Jerry and he said they would not be coming back to correct it. If I was the one paying him then it would've been corrected but the landlord stayed absent through most of this and did not bother checking the work. They used a latex paint over existing oil-based paint (which you CANNOT do). Even I know this and any "professional" should know better too. It looked splotchy and I asked that it be redone. The owner agreed, apologized and repainted the doors but since then our paint has started peeling loose from our doors. This is why you can't use latex paint on oil-based doors. At this point it had been well over a month and everytime I asked when they'd be wrapping up, the answer was always "We have to come back tomorrow to do some touch-up work." This went on for about an additional week. I've never been a complainer but something had to be done. I called Jerry to let him know we were ready for them to finish so we could get back to our lives instead of having people working in our bedroom and living room when we got home from work. I told him the entire job was poorly planned as their were many lapses in work being done. He took offense and in a snappy way he told me we weren't his only customers. I told him if he couldn't handle it then maybe he had too much on his plate. This angered him and he began raising his voice. The conversation escalated to the point where he wouldn't let me speak and was talking over me. I realized nothing was being accomplished so I told him to have a nice day and got off the phone. End result: They smudged a lot of paint on our brick fireplace, front porch, patio furniture, expensive door mat, and hardware on our doors. They didn't seem concerened until I mentioned it. It most certainly would have been left for me to clean up. We still have a wall they left unpainted and you can still see where the employee threw a temper tantrum and busted a hole in the wall with his hammer. Additionally, our bedroom door and closet doors were painted white and we have cream trim work. They repainted them and said the job was complete. The doors are still white and do not match the trim worktop this day. We decided we wouldn't bother mentioning it because they had become such a nuisance and we did NOT want them back. more
