Uncontrolled children 1/3/2007

My wife and I attend movies on a regualr basis but go out of our way to avoud this theater on weekends. Children - mostly tennagers and pre-teens - control this theater on weekends rendering the movie experience unpleasurable at best. Theater management is from the same lineage and are as unprofessional as any I have had the misfortune to come across. I would only go to this theater during the week. Pros: Excellent selection of movies. Cons: Horrible atmosphere. Very long lines. Too many kids hanging out and being loud during movies. more

Rudest manager in town 12/25/2006

Today my husband and I took our 6 kids to see Charlotte's Web, after checking the website for times. Upon arriving at the theater, we learned from a very rude manager that the theater was closed, the website was wrong, and we should have called before we came. No apology, no attempt to make it up to us. Instead, we were treated as though we were stupid for trusting the website - after all, she said, it is Christmas, and times are always subject to change. We did not go back, nor will we in the future. We will drive a long way to see a movie before we ever spend another dollar there. more

Great Theatre 11/23/2006

Ever since going to the Carmike Thoroughbred 20, I don't go to any other theatres. Their theatres are huge, tremondous, booming sound, and cleaner than most. They have a game room for the kids, ice cream, a specialty food place, along with the regular high priced concessions...that's really my only complaint and that's everywhere! What Happen at Beer Board.....I'll tell you. 6/13/2006

Well this was the second time Thoroughbred 20 made its way to the Beer board in Williamson County. Sitting there as a citizen, I found the board cranky on this visit. Two men on the board who denied the the Beer license were on their box saying that they did not receive the necessary paperwork in time for this meeting, so they could digest it or allow the public or news to be there. FYI. The news were there and more public than last time. The two Carmike Cinemas Gents were tyring to speak, but were not given an opportunity. From the boards perception, it seems the paperwork wasn't filed on time. There was a lady of the board who was willing to listen, but was overruled. more

Movie Theater 5/25/2006

Carmike Thoroughbred 20 is a great movie theater to visit. I have never had problems with rude employees,naughty kids(it's rude to call teens and preteens *brats*, thankyou), there is always a comfortable seat, and the bathrooms are very sanitary. I have lived in the Williamson county area for over 11 years and HIGHLY recomend this movie theater. It is a place with a GREAT atmosphere where I can feel free to take my children to view a film on a sunny afternoon. The film selection is top of the line aswell. This cinema features a wide variety of movies choices so you can always see something new and exciting. This theater HIGHLY meets all of my expectations as well as other movie goers and is HIGHLY recommended above any of the other theaters in the Nashville area. more

POOR Managed THEATER 12/26/2005

My husband and I are regular movie goers. We do frequent this particular theater simply because it is the closest to our home in Spring Hill. We keep thinking (over the last 5 years) that one day things will get better. Both of us are in the service industry, where customer service and management is very important. This place has neither. If someone would manage the employees better - and come up with a plan for getting the lines down (we have spoken to many others that have ideas - there are many frustrated customers) and get a clue on runnings concessions, it would be a true miracle. I have written a letter to the theater and always encourage others to do the same as I am in lines with them. Maybe one day things will change if enough people write! Great place to hangout! 11/30/2002

While the theatre is extremely popular, Thoroughbred 20 has ample seating to every show they have. The quality sound and video is excellant, and it is a great place to go if you just wish to hangout with your friends. It is close to the mall so there are things to do while waiting for your movie, and there is an excellant Starbucks across the street. Carmike Thoroughbred 20 is one of the best movie theaters I've ever been in. They have a huge selection of movies every time I go. They always have the one I want to see. The only flaw is their website. It never has the movies or movie times listed anywhere. I'd call if I were you, because it saves a lot of time. Enjoy the movie at Carmike Thoroughbred 20!!! Stay Away if you want service! 11/27/2002

I live in the Cool Springs area and though this theater would live up to the area's standards. Boy, Was I wrong! First you must fight your way though the daycare area upfront, because parents feel it appropriate to drop their children off and leave them unattended. Your reward for waiting in the long line for tickets is a rude greeting from the staff. Their ads always make mention of numerous consession stands which is worthless if only two are open. If you must go to the restroom please allow me to offer more sanitary options: 1)Go at home 2)Hold it. I have given this theatre several chances to prove my first opinion wrong but it gets worse every time I go. I have striken this theatre from my list and you would be well advised to do the same. I think that this is the best movie theater in Nashville. it is easy to get in and out. Your right next to 100's of places to eat. Its always clean and has a great variety to choose from. Pros: good parking, great location, very clean more

Avoid on Friday Nights. 10/25/2002

Teenagers, high schoolers, who think they're better than everyone, are everywhere, being noisy, EVEN DURING THE MOVIE!! Parking is not a problem, but getting out of the lot is. Parents cars are stopped wherever they want to, waiting for their precious little brats. Here's a tip: go to R rated movies because they can't get in, or go to G rated movies because they are too cool for them. Cons: Crowded more

Great Theater 7/6/2002

You guys must be inept or something because I never had a problem finding when a movie started, online or otherwise. Every time I have gone, every movie starts right on time. The stadium seating is great and they have nachos, nachos rule. I'm a big movie buff and I see alot of movies and thoroughbred is on of the best theaters around. You guys should go see a movie in antioch and then tell me which theater is better. I think your opinions of thoroughbred would change. Eddie G Rulz!! This theater is NEW? 7/6/2002

I brought my nephew to see Star Wars at this theater and being 6 years old he probably didn't mind the TWO HOLES in the dead center of the screen, the DISTORTED film image or the mediocre sound system (this theater supposedly has surround sound but you wouldn't know it from watching it here.) This is in theater 4 of the complex, the smallest of them all. The two holes in the center of the screen distracted from every scene of the movie.
