We are saddened by the fact that lady of portland was dissatisfied with her service at All About Automotive. She could not get her 1977 Ford Mustang II through DEQ. We got her authorization to diagnose the problem, and based upon our testing we obtained her authorization to perform a carburetor and valve adjust, and a complete tune up. We then took the vehicle through DEQ, it passed and got the new tags installed on the vehicle and the registration updated for her. There were other recommendations of items needed on the vehilce, which were not performed at the time, but it did run o.k. When we were told months later that it was not running well, we offered to take a look at it and see what was causing the driveability issue, she said that she would bring it in. Unfortunately, we have never seen the vehicle or customer since that time. more

As the owner of All About Automotive, I am sorry whenever a customer is dissatisfied with our service. Mr. Collins hired us to diagnose his daughters vehicle, it was towed in and would crank but not fire up and run. We prequoted Mr. Collins the diagnostic fee of $100.00 which was authorized and we ran tests on the ignition system, fuel system, checked timing and ran a complete compression test on the engine. Our tests showed that the engine cylinders were full of fuel and the fuel injector was failing - we recommended replacement of the fuel injector and fuel soaked spark plugs along with cleaning out the cylinders to get the vehicle to start. Mr. Collins declined repairs - paid for the diagnostic testing and towed the vehicle away. He replaced the fuel injector himself and the vehicle started and ran. Then it died and would not restart, when he called we offered to look at it again, he declined and took it to Miguel's. According to Miguel when Mr. Collins started the vehicle without cleaning out the cylinders of fuel it caused the engine to jump time and die. Miguel performed the repair. more

Great Business, Very Professional, Very Trustworthy 7/17/2012

The Staff of All About Automotive are all very professional and knowlegable about the automotive industry. I used All About Automotive to replace my brakes and they explained in detail the process and what goes into one of their break jobs, and lets just say that they go way above and beyond what even the dealership would do. My breaks are working great and I appreciate the professionalism and Honesty I was treated with. Thanks for the great work! more

Extremely pleased and very happy satisfied customer. 5/8/2012

I would definitely All About Automotive and have recommended them to others. Every time I call, they get my car in there the same or the next day. I've never had a problem with them. They give an estimate, and it's the estimate, never over. I've even had them charge less than the estimate before. They send coupons all the time, which I really appreciate. They do a really good job and are very friendly. I appreciate that they're a local, family owned business. They will even pick you up from and drop you off at work. Nobody does that anymore. They're great. They're honest, have great rates, and are willing to go above and beyond for you. more

Good experience all around. 5/7/2012

I had some oil changes and diagnostics done with All About Automotive. They've always been willing to explain and express in detail what's going on to assure that my family and I are going to be safe in the vehicle. Their customer service is willing to go above and beyond. They go out of their way to pick me up or drop me off to make sure that on my time frame, I'll be set. It's all about how my schedule is. more

It doesn't get any better than All About Automotive. They make my experience easy and effortless. I continually have been impressed with the level of service, attention to detail and straight talk. No matter what vehicle I bring in to them to have work on, inspected, or diagnosed, they have always given me honest feedback about the state of my vehicle. Steve and Karen are a great team and it shows in the hand offs they coordinate between themselves. They also have a new addition to the front desk, Rochelle, and she is great. She is extremely nice and very skilled. But nothing would work right if the mechanics in the shop didn't do their job. All those guys in the shop who have worked on my vehicles have truely given the BEST service to ensure my family and I, are safe on the road. Thank you ALL ABOUT AUTOMOTIVE! Diagnostic wrong....no integrity...no refund 9/7/2011

My daughters car wasn't starting and I had tried everything, so I took it to Steve over at All About Automotive for a diagnostic. I was given a sheet showing his recommendation for a new fuel injector...and a bill for $100...I installed the injector along with a new set of plugs around $200 and the car still didn't work, when I called him and he said I sould bring it into him again....hmmm, hadn't I just done that and now I'm out $300 bucks...So I took it to Miguels on Stark St. and was told it was out of time and needed a new timing chain...and that he wouldn't charge me a dime if that wasn't it, in fact he said I wouldn't owe him anything until he figured out the problem...Mind you this issue was something that was supposed to have been checked by Steve. Car runs great, thanks Miguel...All About Automotive should change their name to "All About Money", they didn't offer a refund even though they were clearly mistaken. more

I can not believe I have to pay for there learning experience. But that is the case with this shop. They try this then that, I get to pay for the parts and labor for them to figure out what was wrong. Unhappy! more
