So after I read positive reviews (one of them on here) for this place I decided to take a garment for alterations. The woman was very nice (which accounts for my 2nd star in the rating). She said it would be a week for the one simple garment to shortened which was fine, the proposed price was fine. Then a week later (in the late afternoon) I walked in... She hadn't even touched the garment. She seemed apologetic but didn't offer any discount or reason why it wasn't done. I will be taking the garment (and any subsequent clothing items) to another tailor. I'm sure the cleaning service is fine -- But to make a trip to pick up something that hasn't even been started a full week later ? They've lost a customer. more

Dry Cleaners 9/4/2005

A&E is one fantastic dry cleaner. I had moved out of the neighborhood a few years ago and after having many clothes ruined at other places, I'd go out of my way to bring my clothes here. I've never had a problem. They also offer tailoring services and can be relied upon to care for your most fragile fabrics. The only draw back is they are busy, so you may have to wait awhile for any special services. But it's worth it. more
