I have had ADT monitored through MHB Security since I purchased my home 7 years ago. It was professionally installed by MHB security ""ADT largest dealership"" Well yesterday it all paid off. My house was broken into around 4:30 in the afternoon, the alarm went off, ADT called the house phone and also called me on my cell phone. They dispatched my local Toronto police. fixed my system 11/11/2010

I have been with ADT Security for 2 years and we did encounter problems. Problems that are not so big of a deal. Well, we called them and they answered my calls and fixed my system. The sound of the alarm is a little annoying though but, so far, this company is good. more

I set up ADT for installation and they told me they would charge a good amount of money for the first couple of months along with purchasing the equipment; they told me after purchasing the equipment once if I call them they would come to install it. more

ADT's technology is shoddy 11/1/2010

Do not waste your money and security on ADT. You spend more than a $1,000 getting set up, then you pay a monthly fee of $29.95. Within six months the sensors begin to fail and you get nuisance alarms. When you complain, ADT tells you it's the batteries. You replace the batteries at $6 each with no effect and ADT tells you it's still the batteries . . . They offer to come out and check your sensor and fix them for about $185 each. Then you start turning off ""zones"" to stop the nuisance alarms. Finally when you've had enough and cancel, they skin you for another month's fee -- the 30-day notice provision. In brief, ADT's technology is shoddy and their business practices are abusive. more
