A Stitch In Time

I have always had excellent service from Lisa at a Stitch in Time. My first experience was a rushed alteration on a prom dress and since then have had a number of projects for her. She always comes through, has great ideas on how to do things better and her prices are almost too reasonable. \r She does clothing and upholstery. Her window treatments are on par with the very expensive places and she is always lets you know her lead times. No doubt that she is well skilled in what she does, HOWEVER, I dropped my daughters halloween costume off to have it altered. I did leave it there longer than I should have, but when I called to inquire about picking it up, I was told in no uncertain terms that she did not have it. She claimed that she does not keep items for longer than six months but she had called me in the beginning of the summer (timing a bit off), and apparently I told her to sell it if she could?? I do not recall the phone call and I have three toddlers therefore I find it hard to believe that they would have answered the phone and told her this...\r Bottom line, my niece is without a costume for Halloween and I am out $80 because it was a very expensive costume. \r If you want to actually hold onto your items, I would have my clothing altered somewhere else. more

I have been having my slacks, dresses, window coverings, coats and everything you can mend or hem completed at ""A Stitch in Time"" for over 10 years. She is excellent in all areas of tailoring and I would have recommended her to many satisfied friends and colleges. T. Smith more
