The Place to Go for Dance Instruction! 12/27/2007

I completely disagree with the negative responses posted in the past. High Step has been under new ownership for a year or so now and things have changed for the better. They are the only studio in town that has access to the professional side of dance. My daughter is really, really into dance and wants to make it her future career. She has trained with the new owner and is on her way to a career many little girls dream of, but without the right instructors they can never reach. The studio atmosphere is fun and positive and the staff are great instructors. We have had no problems, or heard of any problems since the new owner took over. I highly recommend this dance studio to anyone wanting to have fun, or make it a career. more

Dance from your heart! 12/26/2007

For one thing Daisy and Sondra danced together! Sondra was Daisy's teacher. Then Daisy graduated and went professional. They are both great dancers but depending on where you live, especially with the gas prices, both studios are awesome! And if Daisy seems strict, that is because your not working or slacking. She cares about everyone in the studio and wants what is best for all the dancers. more

High Step Dance Academy 5/18/2007

I went to High Step Dance Academy for 5 years. I DO NOT recommend High Step to anyone. They treat you unfair there and you are not very respected. I now go to Evergreen Dance Studio and I DO recommend them to anyone! High Step and Evergreen are two completely different places. You can deffinetly tell the difference between the two studio's. If you go to High Step now I recommend switching over to Evergreen. EVERGREEN ROCKS!!! HIGH STEP STINKS!!! more

High Step Dance 11/28/2005

Unfortunately they are about the only place in town that does take dancing seriously to a level that someone could make a career out of it. With that saying, if you only want to dance as a hobby and do not strive for a long life career you are treated as second best by the instructors. I think this is too much pressure for a young child. I was unhappy with the way I was treated when I did not enroll my child in more than one dance class. They were friendly and courteous prior to asking me to enroll my daughter in another class. I felt after I declined the class I was treated differently. They were abrupt to me on the phone and when I would pick up my daughter after class. I decided to withdraw her from the academy and search for another one. more
