A Dog Gone Good Place

This establishment has a nice facility but every time I take my enthusiastic but very friendly lab. there I find out that she has been put into an indoor room for ""energetic"" dogs. She stayed as a boarder extensively last summer and was never ""allowed"" to swim because she is too ""energetic."" My feeling is that if a dog is aggressive, that's one thing-this is an adorable lab who would love, love, love to swim and play. If the facility can't handle this, they have no business taking my money! The owner has tried to convince me that the ""problem"" is that I don't take my dog often enough. Well, I am hardly going to spend money to have my dog put into some indoor room on a beautiful summer day! I also had to cancel a reservation (4 months in advance) because I am pregnant and will not be traveling as expected, they did not refund my deposit. The airline did, but ""A Dog Gone Good Place"" did not. It has never been a terribly positive experience, I get the sense that the owner favors people who bring their dog/cat very regularly. I feel that they should not advertise these activities if all of the dogs don't get to participate. When I asked today ""did she get to swim?!"" The response was ""we did-she didn't"" I felt like I was being scolded because my dog is high energy! And I paid for that ! No thanks! more

I will try to make this breif and simple. I had been looking for a good grooming place for my 3 year old cat for months in the area, no one would take him because he was so ""furry"". he is a himylayan persian and has extremely long hair. He tends to get matted and after checking several places I was told that the best cat groomer in the area with reasonable prices was here at ""A Dog Gone Good Place"". I made an appointment and brought my cat in, he was done within an hour and the service at the front desk and the groomer were both at the checkout area with me and were very informational as well as friendly. I know that some people that are looking for a good grooming place are usually dog owners, but then there are the few that have the cats and well while the name may throw you off, they do TAKE CATS :), and I must say they do a teriffic job on the grooming and washing and seem to be very gentle and loving with the animals they attend too. SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A CAT GROOMER "" THIS IS THE PLACE TO TAKE YOU CAT, NOT ONLY THE DOGS"" I highly recommend this place for cat grooming.........Thanks for all your time. Our dog LOVES A Dog Gone Good Place. He's been to several doggy day care facilities and this is by far the best and most organized. Very large indoor/outdoor facility with small wading pools, large swimming pool for dock jumping, play structures and plenty of space for racing around and playing. Our dog had a little issue with poo eating (disgusting, I know!) when he was younger which always made him sick. The staff were so helpful in talking with us about the issue and awesome at keeping a close eye on him to ensure he stayed clear of the poo. Pros: Indoor/outdoor facility, pool, well-trained staff, extremely organized, doggy spa! Cons: Dog tends to be wet when I pick him up because he swims non-stop...wait I think that's a pro, not a con. more

If it wasn't for the fact that my dog loves this place - the front desk worker/scheduler would keep me away. She is amazingly and consistently rude and unaccommodating. I should point out that there is another girl that occasionally fills in that is really friendly (wish she was always there). Also, the handlers are great. I have a small dog and this is one of the few places that he seems to not hate. It's just really hard to spend this kind of money and get, IMHO, horrible customer service. And you most always have to deal with her. Seriously - its that special kind of unfriendliness/disinterest you get from IRS agents and DMV workers. I wrote a review on this establishment a year ago, my how things change in a year. I am sorry I have recommended this place as the office staff is so rude that it is unreal. I hear they fired Goody and now I get a phone call from my groomer and guess what, she quit. I am not going back and will follow Mandi wherever she goes. Mandi will be starting a new business at her home and I can't wait for her shop opens. Cons: Rude to the public and employees need more training more
