You can do better 2/26/2011

Food was edible. Fish had little to no taste. Bison brisquette was overly seasoned. Service was adequate until I requested that my beer (which was never delivered) be assured to NOT be on the bill... response was not ""I'm sorry"" but ""OK"" and end of service. Won't be back soon more

Best Seafood Bisque! 3/8/2008

Attentive staff, carefully prepared dishes, pleasant modern atmosphere. A very nice wine selection and cool 2nd floor deck outside overlooking the Tennessee Aquarium. Pros: Great dining! more

Long Time Favorite 3/6/2008

We took my in-laws to this resaurant shortly after it opened, not knowing anything about it. It immediately became my favorite restaurant, ANYWHERE. I've never had to wait to be seated, the service is great, and the food is inventive and always very good. The menu is change seasonally, so it is worth visiting often. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary there Friday night, and had a great meal of artic char served over lobster ravioli with corn cream sauce. The fish was cooked perfectly. There are two restaurants in Chattanooga that visitors should not miss: 212 and the St. John. Pros: Large wine list, great food. Cons: Small parking lot. more

Never a disappointment 4/10/2006

My husband and I have eaten there at least half a dozen times; the food and service are consistently great. No particular dish stands out in my mind, but the atmosphere is sophisticated without being stuffy. Moreover, I have never had a mediocre dish. This is a great spot for a business lunch too. more

The best rack of lamb I've ever had 7/21/2005

We discovered this restaurant about 6 months ago and from the first time it became our favorite. While it's a bit pricey, you will not regret about the money spent. My family favorites"" Sunfish, Rack of Lamb, Duck with apples, Lobster Bisque Pros: exellent service, great cousine, selection of wines Cons: child menu, expensive more

Wonderfull Ambience 6/26/2005

The ambience will steal your heart. You can either sit inside and dine romantically... Or if you want a wonderful view you can sit outside on the patio outlooking Chattanooga's aquariums, and other downtown excitment. Food is die for-my recommendation is the Lobster Bisque-if it is the soup of the day. Great food, service, and overall appearance-Major Props! Pros: Parking, Service, Wonderful seating more

a beautiful place to be 5/30/2005

A Wonderful Restaurant 10/23/2004

This is top end food for a city of this size. Having eaten in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Atlanta and many other large cities I find 212 Market to be on a par with some of the finest restaurants in the country. The seafood is very fresh, the meats are cooked exactly to your specifications and the service is almost always impeccable. Highly recommended. Pros: Wine list, CIA trained chefs, daily specials more

overpricey with haughty attitude 11/1/2002

212 is a little too pretentious and pricey, for Chattanooga. While the food isn't bad, there is a little too much haughty attitude. It simply isn't that great to treat their customers as though they are doing them a favor! more
