20-20 Eyes

Everybody sees the attitude, particularly from Ron, the owner. A bit officious, a bit condesending. I didn't realize that others also see the employee discord. I thought I just happened to go in when he was having trouble and had to witness what should have been behind closed doors. But three different times? How many employees does he go through? Seems like every time I go in, there is someone new. \r \r Given all that , though, he has an amazing selection of glasses and does a great and thorough job of suggesting, customizing and fitting.\r \r Styleyes on J Street has a good selection too, and none of the attitude. But the knowledge of everyone but the top guy can be spotty. more

After laser surgery to correct my vision and cataract replacement in both my eyes, I found I needed to return to glasses. Not only does 20/20 Eyes have a rockin' selection of frames (I bought 3 frames on my first visit-I couldn't decide-they all looked sooooo good), my prescription is enhanced with technology that places the correction on the back of the lenses versus the front, as Ron, the owner, explained to me. My eyes look crisp and I can see so well! I am in sales and I want people to see my eyes clearly when I am making a presentation. You need to spend some time getting fit and vision exactly right (You need to make an appointment) and when it comes to my eyes, that is OK with me. Having used glasses since I was about 12, I was pleased to find Twenty Twenty Eyes in Sacramento as I am fashion conscious. There's a HUGE selection of top-notch frames, and Ron Kehoe gives honest opinions about which ones suit or don't suit me. I always have a enjoyable experience there. The staff is courteous, once there was a delay at the lab & they clearly explained to me how much time was needed to solve the problem. Large chains kept giving me lenses that I couldn't see through well for the life of me, so even if you're not from the Sacramento area, go to an independent optician like Ron wherever you are! Pros: Highest quality and attentive to your needs. Cons: If you want cheap, you'll need to go to Costco, Wal-Mart, etc. more
