Businiess name:  Funny Papers
Review by:  Mister G.
Review content:
What a difference a few years make. Once upon a time there wasn't much to be impressed with at Funny Papers. It was a small comic shop and gaming store whose primary virtue for comics readers was probably its location: in the Dobie right next to UT. Well, Funny Papers is still in the Dobie, but they've got a much larger shop now (on the second floor, near the movie theater), filled to the brim with great comics (and trade paperback reprints of comics) including most mainstream (superhero) material, and plenty of neat Indy stuff. Every time I go to a movie at the Dobie now and I end up visiting their shop and spending more than I planned. Austin is blessed with many great comicbook stores, including Austin Books and Dragon's Lair. Now Funny Papers is another reason Austin is a great place to be a comicbook fan.
