This a great place for a day trip. The only thing is that it is a bit expensive for what is offered but you can go online, catskillgamefarm.com, and print out a coupon for a free admission. Otherwise it's Adults: $17.95 Children age 4-11: $12.95 It is a small zoo but the animals are out and easy to see. We went on a hot day and thought that they would all be hiding as in the case of the Bronx Zoo but they weren't. They were out. There is an area with rides but it is for small children. They also have a sprinkler area to play in along with slides, swings and a sand box. There is a train ride for an additional 1.75 per person. There is also a small circus that is free. There are a few places to eat and the food isn't bad. There's a nice picnic area and wagons are offered so we brought our cooler with lunch and drinks and it was easy to cart around. It's very nice. Oh and becareful in the baby petting zoo - I had my daughter in a carrier and they went for her toes - I ended up running out of there before they got to her. :)
