My car was towed on Sunday at 5AM, and then around noon I called them up (on their business phone, of course) and the woman picking up the phone (apparently they were working on that day) confirmed that my car was in their possession, and the car could only be picked up on Monday or later, but not that Sunday when they were actually working (so that they could charge you extra storage fees). And so I asked how much I should pay if I I pick it up on MONDAY, and she told me it should be the towing fee plus one day's storage fee, which would be about 80 dollars in total So, on Monday morning, right before 9AM, I went there. And I thought I could just pay my fee (towing fee plus one day storage fee) and then be gone with my car. But that woman was very inefficient and it took her a long time to sort out the paperwork for my car, even though my car was right outside. Now here is the *nice* part: she charged me a much bigger number than the number she told me earlier on the phone, the total coming to about $130. So I asked her how she came up with this number differently than what she told me on the phone. And I was asking her very politely and also briefly. But she refused to give me any explanation, and just demanded my money rudely: "DO YOU WANT YOUR CAR OR NOT!!? YES OR NO!!?" I was totally stunned and left speechless... So, eventually I paid whatever they charged me, IN CASH (because they only take cash), and got my car. After that, I figured they probably charged me an additional day's storage fee, because they probably considered the possession of my car between Sunday 5AM and Monday 9AM as TWO days instead of one, whereas in fact I should be allowed to pick up my car on Sunday and should only pay the towing fee. Rude, cunning, and exploitative. Bad people and bad company! But they got contracted with the city. So, what can you do about it? Oh well... Pros: Hardly any Cons: Rude, cunning, extortionist
