Adela's is a cute little yarn store located in the Castro Village shopping center, along Castro Valley Blvd. They are right next to Starbuck's.
Upon entering the store you're greeted with yarn stuffed into shelves along the wall, and on racks and displays in the middle of the store. Samples of knitted items also decorate the walls and shelves to inspire you. In the very back is a small nook with knitting supplies and some books. They even carry Addi Turbos -- a very popular brand of knitting needles.
Adela's carries a good selection of popular yarns, at fair prices. They have a large selection of Cascade yarns in every color Cascade offers. Other selections include Skacel, Muench, Plymouth, Great Adirondack, and more. Knitted garments line the wall to help inspire you.
Some areas of the store are better organized than others. I found that you often had to do a lot of digging to find what you were looking for, and wished the store were better organized. But, if you ask the woman who works there, she can find what you need very quickly.
