Servatti's cakes and petite fours, with raspberry filling, have a great taste IF you get what you order. I went to the Servatii's in Westren Hills (Cincinnati). I was going to order a cake with all white icing, to make it look more elegant, and a picture from my parents wedding, which was 50 years ago, on it. I was told they do a wonderful job with "gold" icing and "gold" dusting that is very elegant, so we went with that suggestion. I also ordered five dozen petite fours with raspberry filling. I have a copy of the receipt which has this exact order written on it. What I recieved was a cake with "yellow" icing and gold leaves which made the icing stand out more and then five dozen petite fours with only some containing the raspberry fililng. The most dissapointing part was the way it was handled. The first time I called they said it was too late to fix it and to call after the party. I called the next day and was told to call the following day when a manager would be in. When I called today they made it sound like it was no big deal. I was given excuses like they don't do the decorating there and then the new young employees didn't know. Simply, when you place a specific order, that is what you should receive and if the order can't be filled for some reason, they need to contact you. My hope was not to get my money back, but to have them acknowledge the mistake and improve the communication so that people receive what they order in the future. They told me that they can't do anything about it today and to call back tomorrow which would then be the FOURTH day I would try to call. I truly hope that they take more effort to fill your order correctly.
