I may be a little biased since I work at Family Video but I set up a Blockbuster account and asked if they had any new member specials, which they did not. At Family Video however, when you set up a new account you get half off all your rentals for a whole month which normally would be $10 to get plus all the other specials they have throughout the week! I went to blockbuster in milwaukee while visiting a friend at UWM and they dont have a Family Video in the area. Well going there we rented 2 movies an older new release $4(at family video it would have been $2.59) and an older movie from a regular shelf$4 (at family video this would have been only a $1.) When we got to the register the lady was not friendly at all, she didn't say hi to us or anything, we added on a popcorn and a candy and our total was almost $14!! for just 2 movies and a candy and popcorn (at Family Video this would have been $7.30!! I was not happy with that at all and will not rent their anymore. Also the games to rent at Blockbuster are double the price then they would be at F.V.
