Review content:
I filled out 'all' of the new patient forms before coming in, but there was still another partially pre-filled form that I had to complete in-office, and the info had already been provided in other forms I would already completed. The front staff was refreshingly good. The new patient forms were thoroughly done, but it did not readily seem that either the medical assistant or doctor thoroughly reviewed them before seeing me. I understand that not all history will play into current issues, but if it was proactively mentioned and explained as not being relevant, it would make the patient feel more heard. Dr. McIntosh's bedside manner was comfortable, and her actions were well explained in the examining room. It might have been helpful, and put me more at ease, if I would been given an expectation for the entire appointment before it started (e.g., medical assistant will take vitals and review symptoms, then the doctor will review symptoms before doing a brief physical exam with a scope and then manually...). Not sure why the medical assistant asked for symptom info since it's on the intake forms and was reviewed a 3rd time with the doctor. Though, I did appreciate everyone having positive attitudes!
