Review content:
We hired Tom to paint most of our house. Those results were decent so we decided to ask him if he could do our kitchen cabinets. Our house is only 5 years old so the cabinets were basically brand new. Tom said he could do them and that they would look like a $20000 kitchen.
He told us what the plan of attack was and how long the job was going to take. We liked what we heard and paid him half up front.
He took our cabinet doors home to work on them in his shop. Three weeks later when our cabinet doors weren't returned and he was dodging us we decided to take him to small claims court to retrieve our property. The judgment was in our favor, but we still wanted the money back that we paid since he didn't complete the job, and what he did do was going to cost exponentially more to repair. We had multiple contractors come in to look at his work and give us an estimate to fix it. Two of them said they wouldn't touch it because it was going to take too long, and they risked ruining the cabinets completely. The third said it would be more cost effective to just replace the doors and try to repair the cabinets frames.
We took him to small claims court and again a judgment was ruled in our favor.
This review is based 100% on my experience with this contractor.
