Tom's Professional Painting Services

Hired Tom and his son Joey to paint our kitchen cabinets. Our house is less than 5 years old so our cabinets were extremely nice, but they were brown and I wanted them white. Tom stated he had 40 years experience and stated that he would provide two coats of primer, sanding in between and then two coats of finish coat. He also stated the job would take 3-7 days to complete. He took the cabinets back to his house to work on and 3 weeks passed and he still hadn't returned them. Had to take him to small claims court to get a judge to order him to return them. Within days of putting the doors back up in my kitchen the paint was peeling and coming off in large chunks. I have had multiple contractors come in to quote me on repairing the bad paint job I received and two of them refuse to take the job because they said the doors are ruined due to the paint used and the third was a quote for new doors. It is going to cost me $6000 for new doors. Tom is dishonest and I trust worthy. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for an actual painter that has insurance. I promise you won't regret your decision! more

We hired Tom to paint most of our house. Those results were decent so we decided to ask him if he could do our kitchen cabinets. Our house is only 5 years old so the cabinets were basically brand new. Tom said he could do them and that they would look like a $20000 kitchen. He told us what the plan of attack was and how long the job was going to take. We liked what we heard and paid him half up front. He took our cabinet doors home to work on them in his shop. Three weeks later when our cabinet doors weren't returned and he was dodging us we decided to take him to small claims court to retrieve our property. The judgment was in our favor, but we still wanted the money back that we paid since he didn't complete the job, and what he did do was going to cost exponentially more to repair. We had multiple contractors come in to look at his work and give us an estimate to fix it. Two of them said they wouldn't touch it because it was going to take too long, and they risked ruining the cabinets completely. The third said it would be more cost effective to just replace the doors and try to repair the cabinets frames. We took him to small claims court and again a judgment was ruled in our favor. This review is based 100% on my experience with this contractor. more

lines not straight, unfinished work. doesn't return phone calls. trying for months to get them to make it right and finally just gave up. more

If there were a category for zero stars that would be my rating. Quoted $300 for $100 worth of supplies. Quoted 2 days - took 5. Flooded my bathroom while painting it (clogged the toilet with wipes he used on the walls). Advertises General Liability insurance, yet refused to give insurance info for damages he caused. Lack of exterior prep and paint is peeling from doors in a week. Have pictures to prove! more

These guys did an awesome job on a house I just closed on. they made sure everything was covered and all their paint was top quality paint at the same price as a midline paint.He passed his professional coatings price with Shirwin Williams onto us So that brought the price down 300 dollars for my whole interior to be painted.so moving into my new home was a great experience because everything looks so nice very nice people and trustworthy and might I say very dependable and quick to get the job done professionally Tom did what he said he was going to do and followed through with it and more. because he wanted to satisfy himself. I thought that was different I actually hired a contractor that wasn't looking for my checkbook but was looking to do a great job instead Wow. it's very Great to work with people that take pride in there work to love there work results so much as if it was there own house... thanks for a nice personal touch to our new home Tom. more

Tom doesn't just sell the job or sitting at a desk, he actually takes hands on in everything being done and is on the job making sure always is his way. they did a professional job and some I would recommend Tom to any of my friends and anyone there can see this cuz when I read in one of his ads it said "the best above the rest. I guess that was true. more
