Review content:
I went to bar 515 last night and had the worst experience! I was with about 5 friends, we had dinner and as the night wore on, more of our friends joined us. At one point there were about 20 of us there- a few at the table and the rest at the bar. One of our friends was leaving a little early and closed outour tab at the table- an hour later the hostess (she said her name was Andrea) came up to us and said we needed to leave the table bc she needed it for "people who were going to be ordering though her"-- we offered to order our drinks through her and she refused. Although we had finished our dinner, we were all drinking, and because we didnt know that we had to order from the waitress we were getting our drinks from the bar. (and because our tab at the table was already closed) - to make a long story short- she told us she would rather that all 20 of us leave and not order from the bar, and proceeded to seat 2 people at our table. When I pointed out that she should have just told us that we needed to order from the waitress if we wanted to sit there, she refused to listen. The whole situation is pretty ridiculous, she was being difficult and unreasonable, and in my opinion- discriminatory. Instead, she chose to let 20 people walk out and go to the bar next door -where we proceeded to have a great time- I wonder what the owners/managers of 515 think of that? There are plenty of great bars in the city where you don't have to deal with attitudes like "Andrea's"- why would I ever go back? Cons: awful awful service
