Review content:
The people at this place seem very dishonest. They are very friendly and nice, but I think that's just to distract you while they figure out how to get your money.\r \r I took my car in for the NC state inspection and it failed. So, then they got a bunch of money out of me to run a diagnostics test, then told me that I need to pay a few hundred in repairs*. Well, I picked up my car and took it to another station, and it passed without any problems. The folks at the second station told me that there's no way the code would have come up during the inspection at this station but not come up during their own test, after having driven the car just a few miles. I went back to the Chapel Hill Tire Center to inform them of this and ask for a refund on the diagnostics test and the failed inspection, and they refused.\r \r I feel like they have taken advantage of the fact that I am a woman who knows little about cars. It certainly was in their best interest to fail me for the inspection so they could charge me more for diagnostics and repairs. I don't trust them one bit. I recommend going anywhere else for inspection, especially if you are a woman who's not a car expert.\r \r *As a side note, the cost of the repairs that they told me I needed were quoted much lower at other auto shops. So, in addition to the dishonesty, I think they are overpriced.
