It smelled so good before we entered the restaurant... but that was the best part of the meal. The service was slow. The soup had a skim on the top (sitting too long?) The main courses were average, nothing special. Bland and rather boring. Okay presentation but not unique. The drink refills had to be requested. The desert tasted like it had been sitting next to other food in the fridge. The coffee was luke-warm and the busser who poured a cup way too late was so large he bumped into me while departing the table. On top of that, the chairs were hard and the tab was pricey - $75 for two for lunch. And no booze or wine. So, I've had much better for far less. Would I go back? Maybe, because it's a pretty place, and the people were nice enough. The food would and the service would have to be far better. I would not take a client or a spouse unless they make the place meet the prices. Too bad, as it's hard to find a good quality place on the mid-Peninsula these days.
