San Joaquin Veterinary Hospital. It upsets me just to see their name. We had a loving little dog we saved from the dog shelter. She was 17 and in her last year she got hard of hearing and her sight was going also. She would get disoriented. She couldn't figure out how to go around objects. It was sad to see her go down hill. Everyone told us we needed to put her down because she looked so bad and had a difficult time getting around. But, we loved her so much we couldn't make that decision. I was looking for a professional to say, "this is the humane thing to do". So we took her to our vet, San Joaquin, thinking that the he would see how bad she was and hear my concerns about her health. I didn't know if she was in pain or if she might get out (it happens) and not know how to get back home or get hit by a car or whatever. My teenage daughter and I were belittled and made to feel as though we were the worst people in the world for even thinking of putting her down. We left a
