After having bad experiences at two other hair salons in Fresno, I decided to give this place a try. Wow!! They were able to accomodate me last minute and the second I walked in I was greeted by the friendly receptionist. They immediately took me to the waiting room and offered me tea. I felt instant relaxation that I've never felt at other salons. I was greeted by my stylist Camille who was such a sweet girl. I almost wish she was running behind so I could relax some more!! My haircut started with a wonderful neck and scalp massage which is standard with all their hair services. Later I was greeted my another woman while at the sink who gave me a hand massage. The only weird thing is she only did one hand!! I'm not sure if that is the norm, and I was too embarassed to ask about the other hand! During the styling, they teach you about all the products they are applying. I seriously thought I was going to get the sales pitch and pressure me to buy but there was none of that at all!! I am very happy with my hair and I have finally found a salon in Fresno!! This place is truly first class and without the first class prices I was paying elsewhere! With the added features, I am more than a happy customer.
Pros: Head, Neck, Hand Massage, Friendly and Professional Staff
Cons: Why only massage 1 Hand? I know it was free, but.....

Luftenburg's Bridal made shopping with my sister's wedding gown a memorable day. They immediately greeted us and in ten minutes trying on dresses. They listened to what we were looking for and helped us find the perfect dress. We had visited another bridal shop previously before arriving to Luftenburg's and they were aggressive, pushing other dresses on my sister, leaving her frustrated and upset . But Luftenburg's was sensitive to my sister wants and did not try to push any dress on my sister just to make a sale. Luftenburg's cares and I recommend going there and not the others.

We started off our dining adventure with the savory Argentine prawns with orange-tarragon glaze. The shrimp had a light batter that was crisp, yet soft enough to cut and the glaze had a refreshing hint of orange peel -- tangy with a hint of bitterness to offset the sweetness. Our entrees included a Pastrami Reuben on swirl rye, and BBQ beef on a brioche bun; and a grilled chicken chopped salad with warm goat cheese, toasted almonds, golden raisins, crisp pita and pomegranate vinaigrette. The meat was sliced thin, piled high, and nearly melted in our mouths. The chicken salad is a definite must for anyone in need of a light and refreshing, yet filling, meal. An unusual addition was pomegranate seeds, complementary to the vinaigrette and abundantly mixed in.
Campagnia made its salmon cakes with shrimp-English pea salad, field greens and pasilla pepper aioli. My personal favorites were the next two entrees: the grilled 10 ounce Certified Angus Beef ribeye steak with sauteed spinach, warm potato salad, cabernet-balsamic reduction and gorgonzola-horseradish butter; and the smoked chicken fettuccine with Portobello mushroom and sugar snap peas in a sherry wine cream sauce. We then indulged in the dessert trio: bread pudding, creme brulee and tiramisu. Up next was the Frangelico Chocolate mousse and lava cake that, well, took the cake! Max?s Bistro has become quite the Fresno staple. Whatever your fancy -- be it fresh baked bread, premium wine or the latest in French-inspired California Cuisine -- Max?s is sure to satisfy your every whim. To begin, we tasted the Thai Coconut Prawns with Mango Coulis and Thai dipping sauces. The textures of the succulent prawn, crispy coconut and sweet sauce all worked together marvelously. Also from the appetizer list were Crab Cakes with house-made tartar sauce, which were nice and crispy and not at all on the heavy side. What came next was Seared Scallops with celery root, Granny Smith apples and a lemon emulsion. The Strawberry & Spinach Salad featured ripe strawberries and baby spinach with feta cheese tossed with the bistro?s house-made poppy seed dressing. Jane especially enjoyed the fact that the strawberries are fresh from Fresno?s own farms. And now, for the piece de resistance? The Max Burger. With a generously portioned grilled patty topped with sharp cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, dijon mayo, lettuce, tomato and grilled red onions, this may SEEM like an ordinary burger, but ordinary it is not! Max?s offers a daily fish special, and the one we sampled today was the Pan-Roasted Alaskan Halibut, served with potato cake, spinach and citrus verjus coulis. The fish was perfectly succulent and each of the plated flavors worked beautifully with one another. Gingered Strawberry Shortcake and Molten Lava Cake were some heavenly morsels. The Lava Cake oozed a glorious hot fudge filling. Paired with vanilla ice cream, this dessert leaves you wanting nothing more. Max?s seems to have perfected the upscale food with a laidback atmosphere bit. Bon appetit!

They have a very large catering menu and all the prices are not that bad at all. They make the best meatballs that I have ever had. Their store is very cute too and has a lot of different stuff that you can't usually find in regular grocery stores. They also have gift baskets and I'm pretty sure you can create your own while you are there too. Would for sure use again if I needed to have something catered.

The Thai House is one of my favorite places to eat in Fresno. After living in Thailand for a short amount of time, I fell in love with the food. I have tried almost all of the Thai places here in Fresno and found the Thai house to be the most authentic (next to my wife's family?s cooking). All of the wait staff have been extremely friendly and very accommodating. I have even ordered items off the menu and they prepare it with no problem. I wouldn?t go if I was in a rush, they prepare their dishes from scratch when you order so it takes a little longer, but is worth the wait. One of the times I was there, they were hosting monks and I was able to be blessed by one. This is not the restaurant for you if you are expecting Americanized Thai Food. The authentic food, extensive menu, decor, music, and even dress of the staff make you feel as though you are in Thailand. I would recommend for all to try.
Pros: Food, Service, Ambience
Cons: Slower when they are busy
