I had damaged my rear bumper 3 days after taking delivery of my car. My insurance worked with Caliber so I took it in. They said they would have to replace the entire back bumper. Fine, whatever. Anyway, I picked it up 3 days later and the side that had sustained the damage was fine. The right side was a MESS. The bumper was not flush with the tail light and there was a noticeable gap where the trunk comes down. I took it back and the guy took it to the back of the shop. After about 20 minutes, he came back and there was no difference at all. The damage was still prevalent. He said that it would take about 2 weeks for the bumper to "settle". As a side note, I called the body shop at my dealership and the manager said that excuse was bogus. Anyhow, all that I could see that Caliber did to the bumper was to add some filler of some kind in the gap between the bumper and the light. Did they honestly think I would not notice white filler on a maroon car?? My main question is why didn't someone quality check my car before releasing it? I will never take my car there again. All I wanted was for it to look as good as it did when I drove it off the showroom floor a week prior.
