Review content:
My favorite Turkish restaurant... It's run by a Jordanian. The staff are wonderful. The recently redone largely-blue interior looks great. A lot of people who aren't very familiar with Turkish food try the chicken sautee. They have the usual list of kababs, and the appetizer platter is a good way to sample Turkish food (highly recommended). Their rice is fibrous and done superbly. Some menu items that are hard to find elsewhere: mercimek kofte, a lentil mash; a spinach salad with falafels stuffed with goat cheese; kuneifi (a cheesy dessert wrapped in roasted/shredded phyllo, with just the right amount of sweetness); grilled vegetables served in a tomato sauce; a rich haydari or yoghurt dish can help douse, although Bursa's food isn't too spicy at all. Recent changes in their menu have meant that vegetable kababs/skewers are out :-( Good wine list and a longish dessert menu too. Lately, they have started doing lunch too. It's amazing how the weekend belly dance can be performed in the spaces between tables. They bring the dancer on for just a few minutes.
Pros: Great ambience and service, and good Turkish food
Cons: Could have a wait on some nights
