Businiess name:  Global Restaurant

Review content:
This is my first review. My fiance and I discovered Global a year and a half ago at complete random. We were driving around area and saw a sign for Global. We were intrigued. We figured we couldn't go wrong with a restaurant obviously inspired from all over the world. I knew it was going to be on the pricier/nicer side, and we were obviously dressed like we randomly chose this place, but the wait staff (including the owners) treated us first class. We've been greeted and talked to by the owners every time we've been there for that matter. I stress this, because that is extremely rare in Charlotte where everyone has some sense of entitlement. Our waiter, Steve, was absolutely incredible. He has been our waiter for every visit.\r \r I'm a vegetarian, and I've always had something different each time. They do a great job of making their menu seasonal. Everything we have had has been absolutely top notch. We always come out saying, ""That's the best thing I've ever had."" The staff (Steve in this case) is incredibly knowledgeable of the wine selection as well. And the desserts, wow. I always hate leaving there knowing I'm going back to my cooking.\r \r I know the issue of price v. quantity v. quality is mentioned with this restaurant, but here is how I see it. The portions are incredibly well made with amazing ingredients. The food is meant to leave you comfortable, not stuffed. For my income bracket, Global is a place to visit for special occasions. I always get my money's worth. I'd prefer a smaller, healthier portion where I pay more and I'm left incredibly satisfied to a larger, cheaper portion that is nowhere nearly as good of quality.\r \r I honestly think Global is the best restaurant in Charlotte, and I have been to my fair share of high end restaurants. The location isn't the best, but there is ample parking. Overall this is a must visit restaurant, especially for special occasions that require an intimate atmosphere. Pros: Staff, intimacy, parking, attitude of the owners, food, wine selection Cons: location
