Review content:
I was extremely disappointed when Onyx charged me $150 to recover the data from a hard drive going bad. When I picked up my laptop they had removed the hard drive. I asked them to re-install it. They said they didn't recommend installing a bad hard drive because it might damage my laptop -- but they had just told me that my laptop was also going bad and wasn't worth repairing. I asked them to reinstall it, anyway; after all, it was an INTERNAL hard drive when I dropped it off for repair. Onyx refused to re-install my hard drive unless I paid them an additional labor charge. As if $150 was a bargain for simply recovering my data (and nothing else)? Onyx is actually very good at repairing computers. But they suck at customer service. I will never darken their door again.
