Review content:
While visiting Salem, VA, we decided to stop at Famous Anthony's for dinner (on Main Street).\r \r My husband ordered this huge meal with fish, shrimp, salad, and fries that was about $10. He seemed to really like it and it was a great price.\r \r I, on the other hand, had the exact opposite happen. The vegetarian options at this restaurant are technically non existent, so I went with the vegetarian wrap. I don't like mushrooms or onions, but the wrap still came with lettuce, tomatos, pickles, peppers, cucumbers, and dressing (maybe carrots too?). When my wrap came it had: tomatos, cucumbers, and lettuce. I had to ask the waitress for a dressing and then had to put it on myself. The wrap looked rather large, but when I unwrapped it to add the dressing I was shocked. The tortilla wrap was huge, but only about 1/3 of it was filled. They were completely cheap on the filling (and it's only veggies for goodness sake!) There was less than a hand full of stuff on the wrap, then they went and wrapped the tortilla around and around itself to make it look large. I opened the other half to put the dressing on and it was the same way, so I know it wasn't just a fluke. And where were the pickles and the peppers? I was sitting there staring at the wrap trying to decide if I should complain, when I decided not to. I just ate the wrap. I also ate the chips that came with it and half of my husband's fries since my tiny wrap wasn't enough to fill me up. $7.00 for a veggie wrap that had barely anything in it.\r \r So, if you go, don't go looking for vegetarian dishes. Perhaps some of the meals are worth it, but don't even bother getting the veggie wrap.\r \r On the other hand, if you're in the mood for fish and shrimp, do try their special for $10.00 Pros: Good variety menu with seafood, meat, sandwiches, etc. Cons: Lousy vegetarian choices.
