I had male breast reduction surgery for gynecomastia, after two years of failed treatment with oral medication. In my late teens, I noticed both of my nipples protruded slightly. I was an athlete, and this truly bothered me in the locker room setting. I tried multiple RX medications in an attempt to get rid of the deformities present. My case progressively worsened causing me research this condition, and seek consultations with several plastic surgeons.
At the advice of my competitive bodybuilding friends, Dr. Blau was one of the plastic surgeons I consulted. I choose Dr. Blau due to his decades of experience in the surgical correction of this condition, the number of highly satisfied patients he has treated with this condition, and the compassion he had during my consultation.
The swelling progressively decreased with time from significant one week after surgery, to nearly absent, several months after surgery. At one years time, the healing was complete with my final result completely apparent. The scars are nearly undetectable upon palpation and visual inspection. My nipples are restored to the point prior to the deformity developing.
