I visited Tampico for lunch for the first time on 4/1/08 with a friend of mine to enjoy a good lunch, and boy did we ever enjoy our meals! I personally had the Tampico Special which was a sliced steak, rice, beans with cheese, and some nicely spiced shrimp and it was fantastic. I have to admit that I know the owners as real estate clients of mine so even though my friend and I arrived during the lunch hour the owner handed us the much larger dinner menu to pick from. Perhaps a little extra special treatment was offered in terms of menu choice for that time of day, but I think that just goes to show the generosity of the folks who run and own this place along with the obvious high quality of the food. Another note is that the restaurant looks very small from the street, but the building is very deep with several rooms to the back and even an open fireplace. I highly recommend Tampico?s for their food and their excellent service!
Pros: Great food & service
Cons: Small parking lot and dinner menu is a bit pricey, but like I said, the food is great.
