Businiess name:  Il Cortile Del Re

Review content:
We researched several restaurants in downtown Charleston, and Il Cortile Del Re has got to be in the running for most romantic dining spot. Tucked away on King Street, this treasure doesn't look like much from the outside (including the almost-too-casual restaurant signage), but the three dining rooms inside hold all the secrets. We sat in the middle room with the Italian red walls at a tiny round table set for two. It was delightful. Wine was fabulous (try the Chardonnay/Riesling blend), food was tops, service was everything we wanted it to be. Despite it being a busy Monday night, we felt exclusive -- the restaurant simply has that kind of feel to it. You can walk to this restaurant from the Market or East Bay area -- it's just a couple of blocks from Market Street on King. Pros: Romantic lighting, Simple but good menu, Friendly staff Cons: Will not split checks
