Review content:
I have had my account with Weststar for a number of years, but had stopped using it on a regular basis until recently. Big mistake. I was signed up for ""over-draft protection"" without my knowledge. I was out one day, and decided to use my debit card for fast food. I thought I would have enough on my card to pay for it, but thought that if I didn't, it would be ""refused"", and I would pay cash. When my order at the counter was processed, I assumed that I had the money in the account. Little did I know that I over-drew my acount by $2.00, which the bank covered, and then proceded to hit my account for $38.00 more for the over-draft. I spoke with customer service at the bank, and explained my annoyance that I was signed up for this ""protection"" without my knowledge, and she said it could be reversed once, and then was called back and let know that her manager refused to reverse the charge. When I spoke directly to the manager, I was told that ""the bank has bills to pay"". Well they can pay them by charging other customers this rediculous fee...i'll have no part of it anymore.
