I have always ben a thin guy, but never had any muscle definition. I went to take a tour of the Merritt's Downtown Athletic Club and was astonished to realize that it happens to be the old Train Station in Baltimore converted into this fabulous gym! The tour guide was amazing, the equipment is top notch, the trainers are all so INCREDIBLE and you will not believe some of the stories other members tell you about the goals they have accomplished through the help of the amazing staff.\r
\r
The DAC has a lap pool, an indoor track, basketball courts, raquetball courts, AMAZING group fitness classes (check out the new BODYJAM classes that are so much fun that after the first week they are having to add more nights due to increased demand)!\r
\r
The members are all so friendly - there are no judgements or feelings of discomfort, and I have made lots of friends and acquaintances just from being there a few times a week. People I have never met will often say hi to me on the machines and start a conversation! It is unlike anything I have ever seen.\r
\r
It is true that they are not the cheapest gym in Maryland, but the overall value of this club makes it worth WAY more than my membership costs. A total 10!!!\r
