This is the best hamburger in Southern California! The order to have is a Shack Cheeseburger with fries and a pitcher of beer. I usually eat two of these but occasionally I will eat three. The Shack Cheeseburger is a single patty of hamburger meat topped with American Cheese and then topped with a grilled butterflied Louisiana Hot Sausage with all the usual fixin?s. Top the fries with Tabasco Sauce and you have a great meal! The staff is always friendly and fun, the place is usually jumping with an eclectic group of locals, or local workers, or beachcombers, or all of the above. I live in Portland Oregon now but whenever I am in the Los Angeles area I always make my pilgrimage to The Shack in Playa del Rey. Pros: Burgers and the beach plus a fun crowd Cons: Parking
