I took my laptop to Mr. Notebook (the one near 24th street near UT campus) because it wasn't starting up. When I took it there, Mr. Notebook said that a video chip had been corrupted and that I needed to replace the motherboard and it would cost $600. When I asked Mr. Notebook the name of the video chip so I could look it up on the net, the technician was very rude and told me that there are so many different names that it was impossible to know which one I had (which is strange, because you think if they looked at the chip like they said they did, they could have told me what chip I had). When I asked for what website might talk about the corrupted chip, the guy was really rude and told me to look it up myself. Pros: none Cons: all of my extra RAM was gone in my computer when I got it back, misdiagnosis
