A WASTE OF MY TIME AND GAS. WHAT I LEARNED THERE IN 13 MONTHS I COULD HAVE LEARNED IN THREE MONTHS FOR STARTERS. RESOURCES ARE VERY LIMITED. AND THE ADMINISTRATION IS VERY MISLEADING BY TELLING YOU THAT THEY HAVE JOB LEADS AND PLACEMENT DIRECT HIRE AND INSIDE CONNECTIONS TO DIFFERENT JOBS THAT YOU NEVER SEE OR HEAR ABOUT. BUT WHAT PISSED ME OFF WAS THAT THEY HAD US ATTEND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT JUST TO SIT ON THE COMPUTER AND MAKE BUSINESS CARDS. TO MAKE IT WORSE OUR PROFESSIONAL ADVISOR WAS HARDLY THERE. SO HOW WERE WE SUPPOSED TO GET THIS INFORMATION? I COULD'VE KEPT MY ASS HOME. THE ORLEANS TECHNICAL INSTITUTE STAFF ARE LIKE A BUNCH OF POLITICIANS. DOUBLE TALK, INDEFINITE ANSWERS, PASS THE BALL ETC. SOME OF THE STAFF ARE UNDER QUALIFIED TO BE TEACHING. ALSO UNPROFESSIONAL AND VERY IGNORANT ARROGANT AND RUDE. SOME OF THE STAFF ALSO LIKE TO INSULT PEOPLES INTELLIGENCE. ANY SOMEONE HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANYTHING THEY WOULD DOUBLE TALK. BASICALLY AFTER THE FACT SAY, I DIDNT KNOW. BASICALLY YOU DIDNT CARE BUT ITS TOO LATE. NOTHING EVER HAPPENS TO TO THE STAFF BECAUSE THEY WORK FOR THE UNION. ORLEANS STAFF IS FULL OF S@@@@ BOTTOM LINE. THEY TEND TO TREAT GROWN ADULTS LIKE CHILDREN AND WHEN YOU DONT COMPLY THEY TRY TO USE DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS LIKE YOURE AT WORK. AND THE END THEY SAY THEY CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT BECAUSE THEY CAN CHANGE YOUR GRADE. TO MANY TIMES I CAME TO SCHOOL AND WE WERNT DOING ANYTHING OR BUSY WORK AND THEN TELL US THAT THIS WAS A BIG DEAL. I COULD'VE KEPT MY ASS HOME ONCE AGAIN. THEY TREAT US LIKE STUPID LITTLE KIDS. IM 30 YEARS OLD WITH A MORTGAGE AND 3 KIDS. I DONT NEED THE NONSENSE. ANOTHER THING THEY TOLD US THAT WE WERE HAVE TEST WITH ONE DAY NOTICE. AND WE SPENT TIME REVIEWING WHAT THEY TOLD US AND IT WASNT ON THE TEST. GO FIGURE. IT IS WHAT IT IS. AT THE END OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT I SAW THE CAREER ADVISOR AND SAID I THOUGHT U WERE GOING TO ASSIST US. SHE ASSIST YOU IN WHAT. ITS TOO LATE NOW I CANT DO ANYTHING FOR YOU. (AINT THIS ABOUT A BITCH). SHE SAID WHY DIDNT YOU COME TO ME BEFORE? LIKE I KNEW YOU WASNT GOING TO BE THERE. THEN WHEN I DONT COME IN YOU SAY YOU DIDNT COME IN. AT LEAST I COMPLETED THE COURSE. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL UNTIL THEY GET THINGS IN ORDER. DOWNRIGHT TRIFLING AND DISGUSTING. THE WHOLE TIME I WAS THERE I KEPT SAYING TO MYSELF IM GOING TO GET MY CERTIFICATE AND KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT. I KEPT GIVING IT THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT AND TRIED TO THINK POSITIVE AND IT GOT WORSE.
