Review content:
This was our first time in Vegas, quite frankly I was scared about staying in the 'old strip.' But the Golden Nugget received a AAA 4 Diamond Award, so I decided to give it a try. For the money, compared with other pricey Strip rooms it is a great value. The buffet was very good, the atmosphere was very clean and opulent. The shows there were also top notch for being off the strip. We found that a lot of money can be saved by taking the bus up to the New Strip instead of cabbing it everywhere, it is conveniently located by the hotel.
