Little Saigon is the only Vietnamese restaurant in the Walnut Creek/Concord area that serves up more than your typical pho noodles. This place just opened recently in the old location of Spring Garden near Trader Joes. I had low expectations based on the other Vietnamese food I've tried out here when compared to San Francisco or the south bay, but the food here was a nice suprise! The shaking beef- cubes of marinated filet mignon served with a lime dipping sauce was just as good as at Slanted Door or Bodega Bistro in SF. I also enjoyed the huge bowl of bun noodles served with beef kababs, imperial rolls, and covered in nuoc mam. There is also a good variety of cold salads, seafood, and curry dishes. Vietnamese coffee as well!
The friendly service is also appreciated and I hope this restaurant sticks around for ahwile.
