As a teacher in this system and a parent of children within this system I cannot speak and higher of Floyd County schools than what I do. This system has top notch teachers that stay with their jobs. This is one system that simply does not have teacher turnover. There are many programs that serve the needs of various students. This system is about quality education at its finest. The parents and students in my district (Coosa) are exceptional. The new modified schedule is a benefit to students and educators. It allows for remediation for students that need it (and extra money for teachers that can use it!). I would recommend this system even if I was not an employee.
